At the end of a rather prolific year, the British – Greek marriage is over due to some contractual terms not being fully respected.
In the official announcement made by the London Conspiracy management is stated that the United Kingdom based organization released their Dota 2 line-up as the team felt that they needed a fresh start.
“Today is a sad day for sure. We've had a great experience with our Greek DotA2 team and really believe that they are great guys […] Given that the core of the team was no longer together the team felt they wanted a fresh start and we saw it a good opportunity for us to progress in other aspects.”
London Conspiracy is looking forward to sponsor a new Dota 2 team and with re-shuffle season in its full swing there is no doubt that a new squad will find a home under the LC banner.
The Greek line-up decided to continue without a brand and renamed themselves as Golden Boys. In the process they lost their support and captain Giorgos 'SsaSpartan' Giannokopoulos who is now teamless.
SsaSpartan made a post on his Facebook account in which he makes his intentions to continue a professional career “crystal clear”.
"Finally i would like to say that Dota is something special and something that I love and sacrificing time for it something that worths. I won’t stop trying to get to the top and achieve my goals. I think its crystal clear that I am not quiting. I am just waiting for a new challenge.”
An inside source that prefers to remain anonymous declared for Gosugamers that the schism between the Greeks and London Conspiracy occured after delayed payments and several contractual terms weren't respected by the organization.
