The Frankfurt Dota Major European Qualifiers have officially concluded. (monkey)Business and Alliance are heading to Frankfurt, in November, to compete in the main event. The two teams have showcased some spectacular plays over the course of the qualifiers.
(monkey)Business swept through Ninjas in Pyjamas, securing their place in the main event of the Frankfurt Dota Major.
Alliance continued on their awe-inspiring game-play and clutch performances trend started in yesterday’s playoff matches. Tonight’s Lower Bracket finals featured a heart pounding, rare comeback that provided some of the very best moments in the entire qualifiers, across all four regions.
Alliance have secured the second available spot, after sweeping NiP 2:0.

Playoffs matches were best-of-three series. Top two teams – winners of both the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket finals – have qualified qualify for the $3,000,000 Frankfurt Dota Major, scheduled to take place between November 16-21, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Frankfurt Dota Major European Qualifiers winners, Upper Bracket finals
(monkey)Business 2:0 Ninjas in Pyjamas – (monkey)Business drew the first blood and took the second kill on NiP in the first game, already setting the pace of the match. While (monkey)Business were in the lead, Era’s Anti-Mage was split pushing away, the gank potential of Necro was always a threat to him and Alchemist’s farm was starting to skyrocket. The “GG” was called after a team wipe on NiP at their base, at minute 37.
The second game gave Era the Alchemist, but (monkey)Business managed to keep him from getting too much farm, making the hero much less damaging. With (monkey)Business’ Shadow Fiend, their fight potential and execution overpowered the Swedes and the game was over in less than 30 minutes.

Alliance, during StarLadder 12
Alliance 2:0 Ninjas in Pyjamas – The first game started off aggressively, with NiP drawing first blood before the creeps even spawned. NiP ran Alchemist again, but changed him to mid played by Limmp, which didn’t turn out to be as successful as they had hoped. With the Alchemist under control and an incredibly farmed BroodMother, Clinkz and Queen of Pain, Alliance managed to take the game with little difficulty.
The second game was indeed remarkable, with a back and forth 30-minute base race that culminated into a holding of the barracks at the last moments, with 10% remaining on the throne and a team wipe that opened the door for a comeback from mega creeps for Alliance.
- Frankfurt Dota Major European Qualifiers winners: Alliance claimed the second spot for the Frankfurt Dota Major, after eliminating NiP, 2:0.
