Frankfurt Dota Major Chinese Qualifiers standings: IG and Newbee in the forerun

The first day of the Frankfurt Dota Major Chinese qualifiers has come to an end. A three-way tie for the first spot consumes Group A between IG, Newbee.Youth and DK.S, while Newbee and Wings Gaming are tied for the first place in Group B. The second day of the Round Robin group stage will pick up again tomorrow, at 04:00 CEST.
The first day of the Frankfurt Dota Major Chinese qualifiers group stage lasted over 13 hours.
Invictus Gaming took one win and one draw and are now topping their group, tied with Newbee.Youth and DK.S.
DK.S upset Newbee.Youth, 2:0, and dragged them into the three-way tie for the first place in Group A.
Newbee have secured their only victory of the day against Wings Gaming, which is currently tied for the top spot in Group B, with one win and one loss on the record.
The matches resume tomorrow at 04:00 CEST and are expected to be intense as the teams continue their journey towards the second stage of the qualifiers, the double elimination brackets.

- FTD.A 0:2 DK.S – DK.S were able to outplay FTD.A in both games, securing both wins with ease.
- NewBee.Young 1:1 Fantuan –: Team Fantuan managed to secure the first victory. However, Newbee.Young tied up the series on the back of a superb Queen of Pain and a strong Juggernaut.
- DK.S 0:2 Newbee.Young – Newbee.Young dominated the first game with a flawless performance by Song “Sccc”Chun on Invoker and a strong Gyrocopter. DK.S chose the Invoker for the second game, but it did not work out for them, since once again Sccc had a dominating performance and Newbee.Young’s Luna was well farmed. The game was over in 26 minutes, with a 23K gold lead for Newbee.Young.
- IG 1:1 FTD.A – Invictus Gaming grabbed the first win, thanks to Luo “Ferrari_430” Feichi playing Alchemist on mid. The second game did not go in their favor despite the fact they drafted the same hero for Ferrari_430 again. FTD’s lineup was too much for IG to handle this time around.
- Fatuan 1:1 DK.S – DK.S had the advantage for almost the entire first game, with a flawless performance on their Clinkz and Spirit Breaker. The game was over in less than 30 minutes. The second match was a stark contrast to the first one. Bu “YaphetS” Yanjun’s incredible Ember Spirit helped to secure Fatuan’s win easily.
- NewBee.Youth 0:2 IG – Invictus Gaming swept through Newbee.Young, claiming both victories.

- Wings 0:2 NewBee – Wings Gaming managed to successfully gank and farm, but it was not enough for them to take the lead at all during the match. Both Chen “Hao” Zhihao and Zhang “Mu” Pan had beautifully executed games, leading Newbee to victory.
- CDEC.Youth 1:1 FTD.B – CDEC.Youth were able to take the first game. CDEC.Youth drafted a Phantom Lancer in the second game, but their push strategy was not enough to deal with FTD’s fight power.
- FTD.B 0:2 Wings – In the first game, Wings Gaming took the lead early on. Although they seemed to lose it as mid game was underway, after a grueling 49 minutes, they were able to grab the victory. In the second game, Wings managed to counter Sss’ incredible game Anti-Mage who was leading the networth chart. Wings kept their advantage and slowly closed in on the victory.
- TongFu 1:1 CDEC.Youth – TongFu took the first victory over CDEC.Youth who didn’t allow a clean sweep and tied up the series.
Frankfurt Dota Major Chinese Qualifiers format
- The ten teams have been divided into two Round Robin groups of five.
- Top two teams will advance to a double elimination bracket.
- First place team will start in the Upper Bracket.
- Runner-up team will start in the Lower Bracket.

- Matches are best-of-two series.
- If a team wins by 2-0, it gets 3 points.
- If the match goes 1-1, each team is awarded 1 point.
- Top two teams will advance to a double elimination bracket.
