In yet another monumental occassion for local esports, premier Filipino gaming team Mineski-Dota revealed through a joint press conference its upcoming partnership with local media giant TV5 as well as renowned shoe and clothing manufacturer World Balance.
In a press conference held at Aracama in Bonifacio Global City, the members of the Mski-Dota squad appeared in front of the media, along with Sports5 head Chot Reyes, World Balance PH's Marketing Manager Carlo Castronuevo, and Mineski management representativeBenson Te, to talk about this exciting new partnership.
According to Reyes, this newfound deal effectively gives Mineski-Dota national team status, in which they will now be officially representing the country in international tilts. Furthermore, he also briefly touched on TV5 eventually providing coverage of the Mineski Pro-Gaming League (MPGL), the premier esports league in the country, most probably though their newly-launced Good Game Network.
He cites the Mineski management's aggressiveness in looking for partners, as well as the corporation's seeming organizational fit with TV5's own structure as key factors that helped convince him to have them as their very first esports team partner.
"[Much like how] we want to be there when the Philippines wins its first olympic gold medal, we also wanna be there when the Philippines wins its first world championship in esports," Chot proclaims with enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, Castronuevo talks about the privilege of being there top support the national team as having played a key factor in World Balance's decision to sponsor Mineski-Dota.
